Born in 1993, I am a female curator and writer from Uganda, currently living in Bayreuth, Germany where I am doing a Masters of Arts in African Visual and Verbal Arts (Arts, Curatorial Studies and Media in Africa) at Bayreuth University. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Fine Art (Art History major) from Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Art, Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. I have worked with the Institute of Heritage Conservation and Restoration (IHCR) especially on archiving the graphics collection under the African Art History and the Formation of a Modern Aesthetic project. I have served as Cultural Coordinator for Goethe-Zentrum Kampala as well as Programmes Assistant for 32°East|Ugandan Arts Trust. I have attended workshops and conferences namely ACASA triennial, Asiko 2017, Contemporary And writing workshop, Asiko 2016, AtWork Kampala among others. I worked as Curatorial Assistant for Feedback: Art Africa and the 1980s exhibition curated by Ugochukwu-Smooth Nzewi at Iwalewahaus, Germany. I have worked with Elise Atangana as Curatorial Assistant for the Kampala Art Biennale 2016. I have co-curated and curated exhibitions with in Uganda and beyond. These among others include Here and Here(Ethiopia), Ekifananyi Kya Muteesa (Uganda) and Facing the Climate. I have contributed articles for C& magazine, Art Africa magazine, Start Art Journal, Makerere Art Gallery website as well as my personal blog.
